Dick and Pat Trotter

Dick and Pat Trotter opened Trotter Caf´ and Bakery in 1989 with the belief that, "the food we eat should not only be good for us, but should taste great." This philosophy drives Dick to create a diverse menu, using the freshest and highest quality ingredients. Trotter's is a "from scratch" caf´, meaning stocks for soups, dressings for salads, and wholegrain breads and baked goods are made fresh on location every day.

In addition to fresh, healthy food, Dick and Pat strive to reduce waste. Staff and customers are encouraged to use less packaging and to recycle. Trotter's gives a discount to those who bring their own containers for take-out or coffee and they donate any unsold food to local food shelves and shelters. The loyal and ever-growing patronage is more than a testament to Dick and Pat's ability to transform simple, healthy ingredients into delectable dishes, it is an affirmation of their philosophy of supporting and giving back to the local community.

Dick and Pat buy many products from Whole Farm Co-op including organic flour, free-range eggs, and honey. Whole Farm represents over 30 farm families in Central Minnesota. They are committed to creating farms that nourish families spiritually and economically, sustain the environment, and provide eaters with safe and wholesome food. This philosophy fits right in line with that of Dick and Pat Trotter.
